New Position: Service Technician – Printers & Copiers
Dicks and Company is a leading local Authorized Kyocera Dealer specializing in high-performance photocopiers, printers, and document management solutions. As demand for our expert services grows, we are expanding our Machines Division. We are looking for a mechanically inclined, tech-savvy Service Technician to join our field team.
As a Service Technician, you will be a face of our company, providing hands-on maintenance and repair for Kyocera equipment. This is a field-based role perfect for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude who is eager to develop their technical career through official Kyocera Canada training.
Key Responsibilities
• Service & Repair: Maintain and troubleshoot copiers, printers, and MFPs at customer locations, and at our 385 Empire Ave location.
• Installation: Set up new hardware and configure copier management software.
• Networking: Perform basic network setups and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Customer Care: Communicate professionally with clients to resolve technical issues.
• Administration: Manage service calls and submit paperwork in a timely manner.
• Growth: Participate in ongoing online training via Kyocera Canada.
Skills & Requirements
• Experience: Minimum 2 years working with office equipment or related electronics preferred.
• Education: High school graduate; knowledge of digital technology or electronics is essential.
• Mobility: Valid Class 5 driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and a reliable vehicle.
• Communication: Must own mobile phone.
• Physical Ability: Able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
• Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, organized, punctual, and a team player.
• Additional nice to have skills:
o Prior experience in a B2B (business-to-business) service environment.
o A+ or Network+ Certification.
o Familiarity with network troubleshooting.
